Cube Infrastructure Managers – Julie Bonamy Racine has been appointed partner, head of France. Racine brings 15 years of experience across both public and private sectors. She joins Cube IM from Saint Gobain, where she held several senior executive positions, including CEO of Saint-Gobain Canada; CEO of Saint-Gobain Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore; VP of strategy, and member of the group executive committee in Paris. Earlier in her career, Bonamy served as a senior official (inspectrice des finances) for the French government, before joining the office of the French minister for the economy, industry and the digital sector.
ULI – Beatriz Toribio Rodríguez has been appointed executive director for ULI Spain. Her appointment precedes the departure of Barbara Recio Pelayo who has chosen to step down from the role after two and a half years. Rodríguez joins ULI, with over 15 years of experience in real estate strategy, communication, institutional relations and housing market analysis. During her career, she has focused on delivering transformative projects working with a range of companies, associations, and proptech firms, including executive director at professional real estate membership associations in Spain including the National Association of Developers and the rental housing organisation for landlords Asval Asociación.
Greystar – Sven Bertling has joined the firm as investment associate – Germany & Austria. Most recently, he was associate director in Colliers’ residential capital markets team in Berlin and previously worked at Catella Real Estate in Munich. Zoé Pottier has been appointed investment analyst – Germany & Austria, where she will support transaction execution and portfolio growth.
Newmark – Andrew Allen joins the firm’s European finance team as head of investment strategy; Hoong Wey Woon join as MD; Max Hagelstein joins as director; and Phil Creed joins as director. Allen will oversee the creation of bespoke thought leadership outputs for investor clients. He will be responsible for advice on client investment strategies, providing insights and data to shape investor capital planning. He most recently held the position of global CIO for equity investment at Savills Investment Management. He previously held the position of global head of investment research at Aberdeen. Allen also undertakes advisory positions that include INREV, AREF and IPF. Woon joins will focus on real estate, lodging and care sectors across Europe. He previously built and led the real estate, lodging and care investment banking teams at KPMG and DC Advisory Group. Hagelstein will be responsible for managing mandates across Europe, working closely with Woon. Previous positions include roles at DC Advisory, Rivercrown, Aviva Investors and GIC. Creed joins with a wide-ranging corporate finance background, having worked across global investment banks, including RBC, Citi and Nomura and a family office. With experience across equity and debt financings, the majority of his time has been spent on M&A, across infrastructure and UK public transactions.
Praxis – Mike McCarrick has been appointed to the role of head of business space asset management. McCarrick brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously overseen multiple high-profile commercial asset management portfolios across the UK, US and Europe. With a proven track record in delivering business plans to ensure the performance of commercial real estate portfolios, McCarrick will consolidate and expand Praxis’s existing high performing business space asset management business.
Yondr – John Madden has been appointed chief data centre officer with responsibility for global data center delivery. Most recently, he has spent 11 years at Microsoft in EMEA, culminating in his role as senior director, EMEA construction portfolio. Prior to Microsoft, Madden spent almost nine years with PM Group, working on mission-critical facilities, latterly in design, construction and commissioning roles in their data center delivery teams. Collectively, Madden has led teams to deliver ground-up mission-critical infrastructure across EMEA, overseeing the build-out of close to 700MW of data center capacity.
Walker & Dunlop – Aaron Knight has been appointed senior managing director, co-head of capital markets - EMEA. In his role, Knight will be focused on sourcing debt and equity capital on behalf of clients throughout Europe and across asset classes, including build-to-rent, purpose-built student accommodation, logistics, office, retail, and alternatives such as life sciences, self-storage, and data centres. Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Knight was a director of debt and structured finance at JLL, where he was part of the International capital markets team. Before that, he served as an executive director at PGIM Real Estate, where he was responsible for European debt origination.
FLOW Digital Infrastructure — Ken Marron has joined as chief technology officer. Marron will be based in Tokyo. Prior to FLOW, he was the general manager of the data centre business at CapitaLand Japan. He has held several leadership positions at data centre developers and operators, including NEXTDC and Yondr, and has been based in Japan working on data centres since 2001. Before moving to Japan, Marron worked for Japanese construction company, Takenaka Komuten, for 10 years in London on projects across Europe.
PMP – The building consultancy firm has appointed Michelle Richardson to head up its new project management team in Manchester. Richardson boasts more than 20 years of experience in the property sector, including a long stint at Deloitte Real Estate and more recent roles at Motion Project Management, and Property Alliance Group.
