CBRE – Mike Lafitte, global CEO of real estate investments is to take on the additional responsibility of CEO of Trammell Crow Company, CBRE’s real estate develoment subsidiary. Trammell Crow’s current CEO Matt Khourie will move into the newly created position of CIO of real estate investments, reporting to Lafitte. Khourie will focus on allocating CBRE’s equity capital to direct real estate investments, funds and related initiatives. he will also assume the duties of CIO of Trammell Crow when current CIO Craig Cheney retires on 1 April 2021. Trammell Crow principal Adam Weers will replace Mike Duffy as chief operating officer when Duffy also retires on the same date.
Vertical Bridge – Eve Bernèche, senior director of infrastructure at Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ), has joined the board of directors of the largest private owner and operator of US communications infrastructure. She is the second executive from CDPQ to join Vertical Bridge’s board of directors and will serve alongside Renaud Faucher, managing director for North America infrastructure at the Canadian institution. CDPQ is an investor in the company.
HSBC Global Asset Management – The infrastructure debt investments team led by Glenn Fox is to be bolstered with the appointment of Alexandre Broggi and Dmitrios Papatheodorou. On 4 January, Broggi will become senior portfolio manager for Asia infrastructure debt investments, based in Hong Kong. He is currently director of infrastructure finance at HSBC Global Banking and Markets. Papatheodorou is joining as senior portfolio manager for infrastructure debt investments to lead transactions for the firm’s high-yield infrastructure debt strategy and will be based in London. He was previously at Sequoia Investment Management.
Cohen & Steers – Greg Bottjer has joined the liquid real assets specialist as executive vice president and head of global product strategy and development. He was previously senior managing director and head of product management and development at Nuveen.
Stoneweg – The Geneva-headquartered real estate investment adviser and asset manager has opened an office in London. It is Stonewag’s eight office and will be run by James Young and James Martinelli who join from Artemis Investment Management. Young is head of business development and Martinelli European sales director.
JLL – Anny Zhang, head of office leasing for China, will succeed Eddie Ng as managing director for East China. Ng is leaving JLL after 25 years at the firm.
Atrato Group – Carcie Rogers has been appointed head of investor relations for Atrato Capital, the investment adviser to the UK-listed Supermarket Income REIT. Since 2014, Rogers has been an independent consultant and before then she was head of investor relations at BlueBay Asset Management.
Warburg-HIH Invest Real Estate – Carsten Demmler, head of capital management, has been appointed to the management board.
REInvest Asset Management – Daniel Hohls-Larsson has been appointed head of transaction international at the Luxembourg-based company. He was previously BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Management where he was responsible for coordinating the structuring and integration of the transaction and asset management departments.
