CBRE Investment Management – Sheila Hicks has been appointed senior portfolio manager for the firm’s Dutch funds’ platform. Based in the Amsterdam office, Hicks will be responsible for designing and implementing portfolio strategies for the Dutch funds, including supervising performance, investments and projects. In this role, she will serve as the link between investors and the operator teams within CBRE IM’s investor and operator platform. Hicks will also be responsible for the ESG agenda for the Dutch funds. Hicks joins from Schiphol Real Estate where she was senior manager, commercial real estate and was part of the management team. In addition, she was a member of the supervisory board and the audit committee at Businesspark Flight Forum, the public-private partnership between the municipality of Eindhoven and Schiphol Real Estate.
NLV – PMT and Rail & OV’s newly created direct real estate investment management company poached Rianne Vedder from Bouwinvest as its chief finance and risk officer (CFRO). Vedder is currently holds the same role at the real estate asset manager of Bpf Bouw, the pension fund for the Dutch construction industry. Before joining Bouwinvest in 2019, she worked as a partner for consultancy firm EY. Vedder will start at NLV on 1 January next year when the €5bn real estate asset manager will become operational.
AREF – The association of real estate funds has appointed Lisa Sherriffs, Andrew Grigson, Tom Pinnell and Alistair Dryer as non-executive directors. Sherriffs is head of legal, EMEA real estate at Columbia Threadneedle Investments. Grigson is executive director of business development at PGIM Real Estate. Pinnell is the commercial director at Langham Hall. Dryer is the head of Europe global solutions at LaSalle Investment Management.
DTRE – The commercial property adviser has appointed Sam Cooper as senior surveyor, a further boost to the firm’s Cambridge offering. With Cooper’s appointment, the team is now further increasing its leasing capacity to service and grow its existing client instructions in the Oxford-Cambridge-London ‘golden triangle’.
CRG – Susan Bergdoll has joined the Chicago-based real estate development and investment management firm as senior vice president and partner for the Midwest industrial region. In this new role, Bergdoll will be responsible for the development of CRG’s speculative and build-to-suit warehouses in the Midwest. Prior to joining CRG, Bergdoll was responsible for overseeing Duke Realty’s Midwest industrial portfolio.
Redevco – The real estate manager has promoted Chris Baker to UK portfolio director. Baker, who joined Redevco in 2021, will report to Chris Fleetwood, head of global asset and development management and is tasked with continuing the value creation activities of Redevco within its impact agenda. Baker will take over from Fleetwood, who will now be able to fully dedicate his time to the joint roles of head of UK and head of global asset and development management. Chris Abel joins the team as project director. Andrew Brenninkmeijer, previously asset manager in the Redevco Brussels office, joined the UK team as head of asset strategies. Brenninkmeijer will support the global platform in enhancing processes to operate more efficiently.
Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden – Daniel Tellberg has been appointed finance director. Tellberg will gradually take over responsibilities from the departing CFO Eva-Lotta Stridh. Tellberg has held the role of interim head of group accounting since the begining of the year. Before taking up his current role, he was interim head of group accounting at Magnolia Bostad. He has a background as a controller at several listed companies such as Atrium Ljungberg and Viaplay Group as well as experience from auditing and consulting roles at EY and Deloitte.
