Stanhope, Blackstone, CBRE Global Investors, Berkeley Group, Allianz Real Estate, BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Management
Stanhope – Stuart Grant, a senior director at Blackstone, will join Stanhope as managing director in September. The real estate developer has appointed Grant to take up the newly created role to help drive the business. Grant, who joined Blackstone in 2000, was most recently senior managing director and head of asset management for the firm’s Asia-Pacific business.
CBRE Global Investors – Justin Berry has joined as senior director for separate accounts in EMEA. In this role, he will be a portfolio manager, responsible for business development with new and existing Asian clients. Based in London, Berry will work closely with the local investor services officers in APAC and the EMEA transaction teams and will be focused on building pan-European real estate portfolios for Asian institutional clients. Prior to joining CBRE Global Investors, Berry was head of commercial property for London-listed property developer Berkeley Group. Previously he was with CBRE Capital Markets, where he worked with Asian clients investing mainly in the UK. He also served as CBRE Head of Capital Markets in Moscow from 2007 to 2010.
Allianz Real Estate – Vincent Wathelet has been appointed head of Belgium and Luxembourg. Wathelet has been acquisition manager for the region since 2015. Wathelet is responsible for the €708m portfolio owned by Allianz companies, composed predominantly of office assets in the cities of Brussels and Luxembourg. Wathelet was previously an asset manager at BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Management. He has also held roles at Catella Codemer and Hewlett Packard.
