Niam Henrik Gerdin has returned to the Nordic real estate specialist, taking over as fund manager of Niam Nordic VI, which raised €800m in 2016. Head of asset management Rikard Henriksson had been acting fund manager. Gerdin was previously a director in the acquisitions team at Niam before joining Kungsleden as head of transactions.

Mayfair Capital – Giles King has been appointed fund manager for the UK real estate investment company’s UK Thematic Growth Fund. King will also support Swiss Life Asset Managers, the owner of Mayfair Capital, to source UK co-investment and joint venture opportunities. He joins from Westmount, a boutique real estate company he co-founded five years ago.

APREA – The Asia Pacific real estate association has appointed Sigrid Zialcita as CEO of the association, taking over from Peter Verwer. Prior to joining APREA, Zialcita was managing director for Asia Pacific research at Cushman & Wakefield for over 15 years.

Legal & General – Nisha Kerai, Alex Sangway and Andrew Esam have joined L&G’s build-to-rent team ahead of its expansion. Kerai joins from UK housebuilder Grainger. Sangway, has been hired from property developer Berkeley St Edward where he managed the construction and project management of multiple schemes. Esam joins as development manager from Upside London where he was associate director.

BMO Real Estate Partners – The European real estate fund manager has expanded its UK industrial and logistics team with the appointment of Jack Woollard as asset manager. He joins after seven years at Gerald Eve, where he was most recently an associate within the property consultancy’s industrial department.

PfP Capital – The UK residential fund manager has appointed William Kyle as fund director, Oscar Kingsbury as investment manager and John Tatham as finance director. Kyle will help manage the mid-market rental fund in Scotland, launched in June this year. He was previously a development director at property firm Sigma Capital Group. Tatham joins from GVA.

Globalworth – Deputy CEO and CIO Dimitris Raptis has become interim CEO of Globalworth Poland Real Estate, taking over from Małgorzata Turek. He will be responsible for overseeing the group’s strategy in Poland while retaining his existing responsibilities. Lukasz Duczkowski has joined the company’s Polish business as head of investments. He previously worked at Griffin Real EstateArtur Apostol, who was head of investments, has been appointed COO at Globalworth Poland.

Reed MIDEM – The property events organiser has appointed Trevor Goodman as its real estate regional director for UK and Ireland. Goodman will oversee all sales and conference activities and represents the MIPIM and MAPIC brands in the UK and Ireland. Goodman joins Reed MIDEM from Reed Business Information, a related company.

Dr Peters Group –  After seven years as managing director and CEO, Anselm Gehling is leaving the alternative real asset investment firm at the end of the year. Gehling joined the business in 2011 as COO in 2011 from law firm Luther. He took over as CEO in 2012. 

BrickVest – Denis Francois has joined the London-based online property investment platform as a non-executive director. Francois has been CEO of valuation advisory activities at CBRE France for over 20 years. Francois will lead the valuation committee of BrickVest’s alternative investment fund manager business. He will also support BrickVest’s involvement with INREV and AREF.
