PensionDanmark is adding a 9,000sqm office building to its portfolio in Denmark’s second-largest city Aarhus.

The Danish labour-market pension fund is investing SEK260m (€25.7m) to buy the Omega Company House office building in Skejby from NCC Property Development.

Over 60% of the newly-built Omega Company House property has been let to Energi Danmark and a lease with another tenant is expected to be in place shortly, the companies said in a joint statement.

The latest acquisition adds an additional office building to PensionDanmark’s portfolio in Skejby, which includes three office buildings and one hotel.

Marius Møller, SVP real estate at PensionDanmark, said: “We are very pleased to add an additional Company House in Aarhus to our portfolio, particularly considering the synergies we achieve by being able to offer our tenants several attractive possibilities in the area.

“It is a sustainable property in a prime location in an attractive area with good infrastructure. We have a stable tenant in the building and another one in the pipeline, and we expect the investments to provide a high return for members for many years to come.”

Joachim Holmberg, business area manager at NCC Property Development, said: “Omega Company House is situated in a highly attractive area of Aarhus where NCC has conducted development and construction work for many years, and where PensionDanmark has acquired several of our properties.”
