Cook County Employees’ and Officers’ Annuity and Benefit Fund has committed $150m (€131.5m) to Pantheon Global Infrastructure Partners Fund V, according to a board meeting document.
Pantheon Fund V, a global strategy focusing on North America and Europe, has already secured $4.3bn in closed or near-approved commitments, surpassing its $4bn target.
The commitment will significantly expand the $14.8bn pension fund’s infrastructure portfolio, which stood at $243.6m as of March.
Infrastructure currently accounts for 1.6% of Cook County’s total plan assets, against a 2% target allocation.
Pantheon is one of three managers handling Cook County’s infrastructure portfolio, alongside Brookfield Asset Management and IFM Investors.
