Australian renewable energy platform Intera Renewables is acquiring a battery energy storage system project from Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP).
CIP said its Copenhagen Infrastructure V (CI V) fund has agreed to sell the Summerfield Battery Energy Storage Project to Palisade Investment Partners-backed Intera.
Financial details were not disclosed.
The Summerfield project is a 240MW/960 MWh, four-hour duration, lithium-ion battery storage system, located near Adelaide in South Australia.
CIP originally acquired the project in 2022 and managed all development workstreams prior to the start of construction in February 2025.
CIP said the project is now materially complete, with energisation expected in May 2026 and commercial operations scheduled for late 2026.
