School Employees Retirement System (SERS) of Ohio has approved a $20m (€19m) commitment to co-invest alongside Brookfield’s open-ended core infrastructure fund.

Ohio SERS said it has made the capital commitment to BSIP Co-Investment Fund, a fund that will invest alongside the Brookfield SuperCore Infrastructure Fund.

The co-investment capital targets a net internal rate of return of 8% and gross return of 9%, according to Ohio SERS.

The Brookfield SuperCore Infrastructure Fund targets transportation, telecommunication, power, renewable energy assets and infrastructure sector.
