New York State Common Retirement Fund (NYSCRF) has made a $300m (€246.7m) commitment EQT Infrastructure Fund V, EQT’s latest global fund.
The pension fund told IPE Real Assets that the manager EQT has a ”long-tenured and experienced investment team, a focus on attractive sectors of the infrastructure market and a geographical focus which is expected to provide further diversification to the CRF infrastructure portfolio.“
EQT targets a €12.5bn capital raise for the global fund, according to sources.
“We like its focus on the attractive subsectors of infrastructure like telecom, energy, transport & logistics, environmental and social infrastructure,” NYSCRF said.
The pension fund’s commitment to Fund V follows an investment into the predecessor EQT Fund IV fund, an investment currently valued at $268m.
