Nordic private equity real estate investor Slättö, investing on behalf of its funds, has acquired two residential portfolios in Finland in two separate deals worth €130m in total.

Slättö said the transactions, which were with Finnish institutional investors as co-investors, comprise a portfolio of 800 residential units in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area and Tampere.

Slättö said it will form a partnership with Premico to carry out the business plan for one of the residential portfolios.

Tuomas Kokkila, an investment manager at Slättö, said: “These acquisitions substantially increase the size of our portfolio in Finland, and we are pleased to do them in partnership with existing and new institutional investors.

“We have followed closely the Finnish residential market for some time and believe that urbanisation and limited new supply create improving underlying fundamentals for residential investments.”

The latest deals lift Slättö’s investments in Finland to €300m. Slättö funds collectively manage assets of €2.5bn.
