Nordic real estate manager Areim has acquired nine light industrial properties in Sweden for an undisclosed sum.
Areim said the acquisition of the 17,000sqm portfolio in Västerås, increases its local portfolio size to approximately 57,000sqm and expands its total light industrial portfolio in Sweden to roughly 356,000sqm.
Areim said the acquired properties, which are 95% let across the Hälla, Erikslund and Bäckby industrial areas, will undergo targeted updates to improve their quality and sustainability profiles.
Jesper Warén, head of light industrial investments at Areim, said: “We continue to see significant potential in regional cities. Västerås shows strong local growth and remains a key market for Areim. With this latest acquisition, we are increasing our footprint in the city and reinforcing our long-term commitment to the light industrial sector.
“We remain focused on enhancing the properties in line with our strategy, developing well-functioning assets that add lasting value to both tenants and the surrounding areas.”
