Niam Real Estate has acquired a residential asset in Denmark’s capital for an unspecified amount.

The Nordic fund manager said the asset in central Copenhagen was acquired from a “global investment and asset management company”.

The 96-unit residential complex was completed in 2024 and provides a mix of short-term and long-term housing options.

Niam said the property fits in with its strategy of buying well-located Nordic housing in areas with high demand. The firm plans to add value to the property through hands-on management.

Victor Wettergren, fund manager of the core-plus strategy at Niam, said: “We are pleased to have completed this acquisition in central Copenhagen, which is consistent with our focus of investing in urban residential assets, which we can see are in clear demand from tenants.”

Jacob de Lichtenberg, country manager Denmark at Niam, said: “We look forward to adding our touch to the asset by combining our local knowledge of the Danish residential rental market and our customer-centric view on how to efficiently operate and optimise it going forward.”
