Christophe Montcerisier is replacing Philippe Deloffre as head of real estate debt at BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM).
BNPP AM said Montcerisier, who has been deputy head since joining in 2019, will now lead the real estate debt within its private debt and real assets investment arm.
He joined BNPP AM from Société Générale, where he was a managing director within the real estate M&A team.
Prior to Société Générale, he was head of business development at GE Capital Real Estate in Paris, and was responsible for investing in a pan-European fund.
IPE Real Assets understands that Deloffre, who was hired in March 2017, will be leaving the company.
Laurent Gueunier, head of real assets, SME lending and structured finance at BNPP AM, said Montcerisier brings his ”extensive expertise of the real estate debt sector and a strong European network that will enable us to further develop this booming business, one of the five strategic skills for BNPP AM”.
