Montana Board of Investments has approved $232m (€209.3m) worth of investments into Walton Street Real Estate Capital and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners funds.
The pension fund disclosed in a meeting document that it has placed $150m into the Walton Street Real Estate Debt Core Fund and made a €75m commitment to the Copenhagen Infrastructure V (CI V) fund.
The commitment to the Walton Street core US real estate debt comprised of a $100m contribution from the pension fund’s Consolidated Asset Pension Pool and $50m from the Trust Funds Investment Pool.
The Walton Street fund will offer both floating and fixed-rate debt secured by stabilised or nearly stabilised assets.
In an October 2023 SEC filing, Walton Street disclosed raising a total of $161.6m in commitments.
Walton Street declined a request for comment.
Montana Board’s commitment to CI V was through the Consolidated Asset Pension Pool.
As previously reported, CIP’s fifth flagship fund, CI V is seeking to raise €12bn to invest in a range of technologies from wind and solar photovoltaic to energy storage across Europe, North America and Asia Pacific.
