Infrastructure fund manager Meridiam has won a bid roll-out fibre network project in Liezen, Austria.
Meridiam, which will invest more than €100m, said the 50-year contract comprises the rolling-out, financing, operating and maintaining of the regional fibre network in the 29 municipalities of the district.
Construction of the network will start in 2023 and full-scale operation is scheduled to begin in 2025.
Meridiam is already active in the fibre sector in Germany, the US and Canada.
