UK-based student housing provider YourTRIBE has secured a £116.6m (€134m) loan from Maslow Capital to fund the development of a 609-bed project in London.

The loan from the specialist real estate finance provider will support the delivery of the purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) scheme at Watkin Road in Wembley, expected to be completed in summer 2028.

The deal, introduced to Maslow by Atrium RE, represents the second transaction Maslow has supported for YourTRIBE. It follows a previous £114m development loan used to fund two purpose-built student accommodation projects in Walthamstow and Greenwich.

Sky Mapson, senior director, origination at Maslow Capital, said: “Maslow Capital has built a strong reputation as a dependable development finance partner to the student accommodation sector, combining deep PBSA underwriting expertise with certainty of execution.

“Completing a second transaction with YourTRIBE reflects the strength of that relationship and our shared focus on delivering high-quality accommodation at scale in London.”

Rachael Gordon, head of UK and Europe deal execution at Maslow Capital, said: “London’s PBSA market continues to be underpinned by structural demand and a persistent supply gap, particularly for well-located, amenity-rich schemes.

“As more projects progress through the Building Safety Act gateways, the ability to structure and execute funding with clarity and pace is increasingly important, and we are pleased to support a scheme that is now underway and targeting delivery in summer 2028.”

James Rogers, investment director at YourTRIBE, said: “At YourTRIBE, we design and operate our buildings around the student experience, creating environments that actively support academic success, wellbeing and community.

“Securing development funding from Maslow Capital once again is a strong endorsement of both our platform and the Watkin Road scheme. Their continued backing provides real momentum as we move into construction and deliver a best-in-class living experience for students in Wembley.”
