M7 Real Estate has expanded into Spain and appointed Alvaro Arteaga Biforcos to lead the new business initiative in the country.
The pan-European investor and asset manager said it has opened its first office in Madrid and appointed Biforcos as managing director.
Biforcos most recently worked for a pan-European family office as country manager for Spain. Prior to this, he worked for Pincasa, a residential and industrial developer, and Aktua-Intrum where he managed a tertiary portfolio. He began his career at PwC and has also worked at Grupo Lar Grosvenor.
Biforcos said: “Our focus will be on acquiring industrial and logistics units as well as office buildings for our clients and delivering performance through active asset management.”
David Ebbrell, CEO of M7, said Spain is the fourth largest European country in terms of GDP and population and “we believe that there are good opportunities to acquire and manage assets not only in Madrid and Barcelona but also in other regions such as Malaga, Pais Vasco, Valencia and Seville”.
M7, which specialises in the regional multi-let real estate market, said the new office expands its network to 16 offices operating across 14 countries in Europe.
