Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana (TRSL) has added Cohen & Steers Capital to its global real estate investment trust (REIT) manager line-up.

TRSL disclosed in a meeting document that it has awarded $200m (€198.9m) to Cohen & Steers.

Cohen & Steers declined to comment when contacted for this story.

As previously reported that TRSL was planning to conduct a search for two global REIT managers to award a $400m mandate to. At the time, the pension fund had Brookfield Investment Management and Dimensional Fund Advisors as its global REIT managers managing a $202.4m and $227.1m portfolio respectively.

Earlier this year, TRSL decided to retain Dimensional Fund Advisors with a new $200m allocation.
