Specialist in real estate investment manager Revetas Capital has been hired by three undisclosed Korean Asset Management Companies (AMCs) to oversee €860m in overseas investments.
Revetas, which specialises in tailored real estate solutions, said it will “provide capital structuring expertise, recovery solutions, and implement long-term sustainable investment strategies” for the initial assets.
It said the mandates from the AMCs represent multiple Korean institutional limited partners (LPs), represent a strategic collaboration aimed at supporting Korean overseas investments “in the face of shifting interest rates and a rise in complex real estate situations in Europe and the US.
Revetas said it plans to leverage its expertise in restructuring and recapitalisation to stabilise these investments over the medium to long term. This includes providing both rescue capital for troubled properties and funding for essential renovations and tenant upgrades.
Eric Assimakopoulos, managing partner at Revetas said: “We are pleased to collaborate closely with Korean institutional AMCs and LPs on their overseas investments. Our focus is on providing capital recovery solutions in a market characterised by dislocation, complexity, and the ongoing importance of price discovery.
“We see solutions in uncertain times that offer real and meaningful value to our partners and a roadmap to recovering capital.”
