Kilter Rural has raised A$65m (€44.3m) for its Australian Farmlands Fund.
Kilter Rural CEO, Cullen Gunn, said there were “tectonic shifts” globally in the way capital was being deployed and that Kilter was increasingly leveraging strong institutional interest, particularly from the northern hemisphere.
He added that the interest also demonstrated institutional support for Kilter’s strategy to transit to a low carbon future.
The Australian Farmlands Fund regenerates soils and farm systems for sustainable food production, scaled biodiverse reforestation and carbon sequestration.
The fund targets a net internal rate of return of 10%-12%, with a target 50/50 split in investments between farmland and water.
