IPE Real Estate Global Conference & Awards 2025 – the winners

National Pension Service claimed the coveted title at the IPE Real Estate Global Conference & Awards 2025 in Copenhagen, securing the Global Real Estate Investor of the Year award.

The South Korean pension fund also picked up the Portfolio Construction and Asia-Pacific region awards along with awards in Investment in Asia-Pacific, and Value-add and Opportunistic Strategies categories.

Dutch pension fund asset manager APG also picked up the award in the Sustainable Investor of the Year and Innovation categories, in addition to winning an award for Netherlands in the Regional category.

Oxford Properties doubled down on its success at the awards, winning in the North America Regional category. The investor was also recognised in the Environmental Sustainability and Investment in North America categories.

Church Commissioners for England achieved recognition at the awards in two categories. The institution won the Large Real Estate Investor of the Year trophy along with an award in the Social Impact category.

The Outstanding Industry Contribution trophy was jointly presented to Paul Clark, the former head of European Real Assets at AustralianSuper, and Lonneke Löwik, former CEO of European real estate investor association INREV.

AG2R La Mondiale was recognised for its Commitment to Diversity, and also won in the Belgium & France Regional category and the Alternatives Strategy category.

PenSam won the Medium Real Estate Investor of the Year award and was also recognised in the Biodiversity category. Cassa Nazionale del Notariato and KBC Pensioenfonds shared the Small Real Estate Investor of the Year award.

StepStone Real Estate was named Investment Consultancy of the Year, and Pedro Duarte received the Young Investor Professional of the Year award.

Other notable Silver Regional winners included: German pension fund SOKA-BAU for Austria, Germany & Switzerland; PensionDanmark for Nordic Countries; Fidelidade Property for Southern Europe, and Border to Coast Pensions Partnership for UK & Ireland.

Additional Silver Themed winners included: Velliv, Pension & Livsforsikring for Core and Core-plus Strategies and Investment in Nordic Region; Greater Manchester Pension Fund for Debt Strategy; DNB Real Estate Investment Management for Direct Strategy and Investment in Nordic Region; UMR for Indirect Strategy; Canada Pension Plan Investment Board for Investment in Asia-Pacific and Investment in Europe; and Dutch pension fund asset manager MN Services for Listed Strategy.

This year’s IPE Real Estate Global Awards attracted over 170 entries from 15 countries around the world. The total market value of the institutional investors taking part was more than €2.8trn, while collectively their real estate assets exceeded €307bn.
