International Public Partnerships (INPP), as part of a consortium, has won a UK offshore transmission project contract.

The listed infrastructure investment company said the Transmission Capital Partners consortium – which includes Amber Infrastructure Group and Transmission Investment – has been appointed as preferred bidder for the transmission cable connection to Rampion Offshore Wind Farm.

INPP said it expects to invest £35m to £45m (€39m to €49.6m) in the project.

The offshore wind farm connected by this transmission project is owned by E.ON (50.1%), Green Investment Group (25%) and Enbridge (24.9%).

The long-term license and operation contract involves the transmission cable connection to the offshore wind farm located 13km off the Sussex coast, south-east England.

INPP said the latest scheme represents the eighth such project that Transmission Capital Partners has been appointed to, as preferred bidder.
