Terra Firma is selling an onshore wind portfolio to JP Morgan Asset Management.
The private equity firm has agreed to sell the companies that own the wind assets of its Infinis Group.
The sale is expected to close in the second quarter of the year.
The portfolio is one of the largest independently-owned operating UK wind portfolios and has 343 MW generating capacity.
The portfolio is spread across 19 sites and an additional 66MW site expected to become operational by the end of the month.
Guy Hands, chairman and chief investment officer of Terra Firma, said there is strong demand in the market for “cash yielding, infrastructure assets of scale”.
Infinis Group was previously the non-core energy division of Waste Recycling Group, which Terra Firma bought in 2003. The division was spun out as Infinis in 2006.
Infinis Group’s landfill gas assets were sold to 3i Infrastructure in December last year.
