Infranity has led a €375m financing package for Italian data centre owner Retelit Datacenter (RDC) with a €175m commitment.
The capital will support RDC to expand its existing facilities alongside the development of new data centre sites throughout Italy.
RDC serves as the data centre platform for the Retelit Group, which is owned by European infrastructure firm Asterion Industrial Partners.
The company’s portfolio consists of 38 data centres throughout Italy, featuring the Avalon Campus in Milan, which functions as the nation’s largest interconnection hub.
Marie Dowlatyari, investment director at Infranity, said: “This financing supports a highly strategic digital infrastructure platform in one of Europe’s key markets. We are pleased to accompany Asterion and Retelit Datacenter in accelerating the expansion of critical data centre capacity across Italy.
“This transaction reflects our conviction in long-term, asset‑intensive businesses that play an essential role in the digital transition.”
