Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) has added Pretium Partners, S2 Capital and Mesirow Financial to its real estate manager roster with $100m (€95.2m) worth of commitments.

The investments, resulting from a request for proposal issued in October last year, include a $50m commitment to the Pretium Affordable Single-Family Rental Fund, and $25m each to the S2 Real Estate Fund II and Mesirow Financial Real Estate Value Fund V funds.

Pretium Partners is active in more than 30 US markets, focusing on growing suburban areas and investing in communities of 50 to 150 homes, according to sources. Pretium declined a request for comment.

According to sources, S2 Capital wants to raise $600m for Fund II, a US multi-family property fund. S2 Capital also declined a request for comment.

Mesirow’s Fund V is seeking to raise $1.2bn to acquire Class A and B multi-family properties in the US.
