UK-listed Impact Healthcare REIT has acquired two care homes for in Kent £14m (€16.5m).

The UK healthcare real estate investor said it has agreed to buy a purpose-built 120-bedroom property and agreed to a sale and leaseback for a 48-bedroom home. The acquisitions are with a new tenant, Belmont Healthcare, the group’s 14th tenant.

Impact Healthcare REIT said the deal adds two care homes comprising 168 beds to the group’s portfolio, which will then total 136 care homes and 7,484 beds.

Impact Healthcare REIT said the company’s investment manager, Impact Health Partners LLP, is in developed legal discussions on several other acquisition opportunities and expects to make further announcements in the near future.
