US renewable energy firm NextNRG has partnered with renewable energy and climate infrastructure investment firm Hudson Sustainable Group to develop, finance and deploy a national portfolio of diverse energy assets.

The firms will invest in a portfolio of energy assets including utility-scale solar, battery storage, distributed smart microgrids and wireless electric-vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.

Under the terms of the agreement, Hudson Sustainable will receive priority consideration to fund specific projects within NextNRG’s national pipeline.

The companies said the execution and terms of individual project financings were subject to final due diligence, mutual agreement and documentation.

Michael D Farkas, founder and CEO of NextNRG, said: “This partnership with Hudson enhances our ability to scale AI-optimised, distributed energy infrastructure at a time when demand for smarter, more resilient power solutions is accelerating.

“By aligning innovation with growth capital, we believe we’re well positioned to drive project execution, strengthen our commercial pipeline and advance the deployment of next-generation systems that can reduce cost, improve reliability and support the evolving energy needs of both today and tomorrow.”

Neil Auerbach, founder and CEO of Hudson Sustainable, said: “We are excited to partner with NextNRG. Michael is a pioneer in EV charging and a seasoned entrepreneur. The technology under the hood at NextNRG is breathtaking in its scope and potential. We look forward to assisting the company in monetising both its IP and downstream portfolios.”
