GlobalConnect’s Danish arm has agreed to buy a fibre infrastructure network from broadband provider Wizer.
GlobalConnect Denmark said it will pay a ”three-digit million” sum in Danish kroner to acquire Wizer’s entire fibre infrastructure covering approximately 20,000 homes.
The deal grows GlobalConnect’s footprint in Denmark and strengthens its fibre infrastructure portfolio across Northern Europe. GlobalConnect operates as Onefiber in the Danish fibre-to-the-home market.
Martin Lippert, CEO GlobalConnect Group, said: “We are dedicated to playing our part in accelerating digitization and promoting social inclusion across society.
“This latest acquisition significantly grows our footprint in Denmark, and we will continue to explore possible acquisitions across all our markets, given that they can contribute to an even stronger offering to our customers and fit into our strategy.”
