Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) has partnered with the Government of Abu Dhabi’s sovereign investment platform L’IMAD, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Temasek to establish a $30bn (€25.6bn) infrastructure investment platform focusing on the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Central Asia.

The proposed partnership, which will also consider select investments across the broader Middle East and North Africa region, will raise a combination of equity and debt capital to target a diversified pipeline of infrastructure opportunities.

The investment will focus on sectors including energy, transportation, logistics, digital, water and waste management.
