DWS has acquired a logistics distribution centre in the Netherlands on behalf of an unnamed institutional separate account mandate.
The asset manager has invested an unspecified amount to acquire the newly built development, located on the De Biezen industrial estate in Vianen, which is leased for 12.5 years.
Ulrich Steinmetz, head of European real Estate transactions at DWS said: “The successful acquisition of this logistics distribution centre in Vianen reinforces DWS’ ongoing commitment to building a high quality and diversified pan-European real estate portfolio for our mandate.
“The Dutch logistics market – anchored by a stable economy, supply constraints and robust occupier demand – plays a pivotal role in Europe’s energy and supply chain transitions.”
Markus Wickentraeger, head of real estate portfolio management for Europe at DWS, said: “DWS combines a network of in-house teams and local strategic partners to source diverse living and logistics assets, also offering central governance, investment intelligence and local market knowledge in all major European countries.
“Having built a significant residential portfolio in Europe, including operated living and affordable units, we are able to showcase strong European reach across residential assets, which delivers diversified portfolios to our clients.”
