A Dutch pension fund has backed the ASR Dutch Core Residential Fund with a €150m commitment.

The residential fund, managed by the property arm of Dutch insurer ASR, announcing the investment from the unnamed pension fund, said the commitment is the 11th investment the fund has received from an investor.

The €1.5bn ASR Dutch Core Residential Fund invests in sustainable apartments and single-family houses, particularly in the mid-priced rental segment.

Over the next three years, the fund expects to grow to a volume of €2.0bn.

Robbert van Dijk, fund director ASR Dutch Core Residential Fund, said: “We are very pleased to welcome another new investor to the ASR Dutch Core Residential Fund.

”The choice for our residential fund is a strong sign of support for our investment policy. We will continue this policy in the coming years and thus continue to focus on further growth of our investment portfolio, with an emphasis on sustainability and affordability.”
