Daiwa Securities Group and Airborne Capital have formed a partnership to expand investment opportunities in the aircraft leasing sector.
The duo said the Daiwa Airborne joint venture “will integrate strengths from both companies to deliver tailored fleet options and stable returns, setting a new benchmark in specialised aircraft leasing products”.
Ramki Sundaram, CEO of Airborne Capital, said: “[the JV] formalises our existing collaboration and aims to merge Daiwa Securities’ strength in delivering tailored high-value solutions with our aviation expertise, enabling the expanded offering of specialised aircraft leasing products in Japan, a key market in Airborne’s global growth strategy.”
He added that aircraft leasing offeres various benefits to airlines, including cost reduction and that strong leasing demand makes aircraft leasing ”a compelling investment product for investors”.

Airborne capital is an aircraft asset management specialist company headquartered in Ireland, with operations in seven locations worldwide, including Tokyo.
