Cube Infrastructure Managers is buying a majority stake in Nordic data centre operator GleSYS.
The European mid-market infrastructure fund manager is investing an undisclosed amount on behalf of the Cube Infrastructure Fund III fund to buy the stake from VIA equity Fond III, GleSYS CEO and founder Glenn Johansson, and from certain employees and minority shareholders of GleSYS.
As part of the deal, Johansson and certain employees will reinvest in the company alongside Cube to retain a minority shareholding.
GleSYS, which operates data centres in the Nordics, has a service portfolio that expands across colocation, dedicated servers, network and connection, system management, and virtual private servers.
Stéphane Calas, partner at Cube Infrastructure Managers, said GleSYS “is very well positioned to address the increasing needs of Nordic SMEs for digital infrastructure. We are looking forward to partnering with Glenn Johansson and his team to further grow GleSYS’ business.”
