David Kirkby the managing director of Cromwell Property Group’s European business has joined Avignon Capital.
The €700m European property investment firm said it has appointed Kirkby as director of capital accounts to help drive the company’s growth plan.
Kirkby was the CEO of Valad Europe prior to it being acquired by Australia’s Cromwell. He led Cromwell’s European business following the takeover and later became an executive director.
Prior to joining Valad Europe, he was CEO of European funds management with the Lend Lease Group.
Avignon said Kirkby, who will be based in London, will play a leading role in the next phase of Avignon’s growth strategy and help to form new strategic relationships.

Avignon Capital’s core markets are the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain. The firm’s portfolio currently includes retail real estate, offices, hotels and mixed-use, multi-let campuses.
