Cordiant Digital Infrastructure has acquired Norkring België, an operator of communication and broadcast towers in Belguim.

The UK-listed infrastructure investment company said it has acquired Norkring from Telenor Communication II and Participatiemaatschappij Vlaanderen for an enterprise value of €5.25m.

Norkring, which operates 25 towers in Belgium, is also the holder of two digital audio broadcasting licences and one digital terrestrial television multiplex licence. The company provides radio and TV broadcasting services to commercial stations and distributors and colocation and site-hosting to broadcasters, niche communications operators and mobile network operators.

Steven Marshall, chairman of Cordiant Digital Infrastructure Group, said: “This acquisition represents an opportunity to acquire assets and an experienced team that offers a quality near-term income proposition, provides a platform for further asset diversification in Western Europe and comes with technology and knowhow that have the potential to benefit the development of Cordiant’s other portfolio companies.”
