Scott Lawrence has taken over from Cressida Hogg as head of Canada Pension Plan Investment Board’s (CPPIB) infrastructure division.

IPE Real Assets understands that Lawrence, a managing director and the head of fundamental equities, will now lead the pension fund’s C$25bn (€16.1bn) infrastructure portfolio.

Lawrence joined CPPIB’s private investments department in 2005 as a senior principal to launch its infrastructure investments. In 2009, he moved to the public market investments department to start the relationship investments group.

He joined CPPIB from Onex Corporation.

Outgoing managing director Cressida Hogg joined CPPIB in 2014. Prior to joining CPPIB, she was the managing partner of 3i’s infrastructure business.
