Bayerische Versorgungskammer (BVK) has promoted Manuel Philippe Wormer to head of global real estate investment management.
Wormer, who joined the €97.2bn German pension fund, in 2017 as senior investment manager, will continue to report to Rainer Komenda.
He will be responsible for all existing and future real estate investments, excluding those in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, which are overseen by a dedicated DACH team.
BVK’s global real estate investments are held in more than 45 separately managed accounts, including direct and indirect investments and listed real estate, in both equity and debt structures.
Prior to BVK, Wormer was portfolio manager at WealthCap/UniCredit with responsibility for a series of primary and secondary, European and US real assets funds of funds.
Wormer is chairman of training and education committee of European real estate fund association INREV.
