German pension fund Bayerische Versorgungskammer (BVK) has added an office and residential building complex in Germany to its portfolio.

Real IS and Universal-Investment said they have acquired the Eiswerk complex in Berlin’s Mitte district on behalf of BVK from developer Trockland for an undisclosed amount.

The Eiswerk property has an aggregate office area of approximately 15,000sqm and 3,500sqm of residential space.

Tobias Kotz, an executive director of Real IS said the deal is the second acquisition it has made on behalf of BVK, following the acquisition of the Blue Towers in early 2020.

Norman Fackelmann, the head of real estate management at BVK, said: “Owing to the property’s mixed-use in a very good micro-location, the investment is an excellent addition to our real estate portfolio, and will generate attractive returns for our investors.”
