Bain Capital has sold a 12,000sqm office building in Rome following a full repositioning of the property.

The global investment firm said it has sold the Severo 246 building located on Via Cristoforo Colombo.

Financial details were not disclosed.

David Cullen, a partner in Bain Capital’s Europe real estate team, said: “This transaction reflects our ability to identify underutilised assets and reposition them through hands-on execution.

“We acquired a single-tenant building with leasing risk and transformed it into a modern, fully-leased asset aligned with tenant demand. It is a strong example of how we create value through disciplined asset management and local execution.”

Javier Ortigosa, an operating partner at Bain Capital, said: “Severo 246 is representative of our broader approach in Europe, where we focus on situations that require operational expertise and capital investment to unlock value.

“From refurbishment through leasing and delivery, this was a full-cycle investment that demonstrates the strength of our platform.”
