A sustainable infrastructure fund managed by B Capital Partners has invested in Norwegian hydropower firm Bekk og Strøm (BoS).

The manager’s BC-ETIF TOR fund has acquired a 36% stake from a minority shareholder for an undisclosed sum.

B Capital said Enso Hydro remains the majority shareholder in BoS, which owns and operates 22 small scale hydropower plants in Norway with a total production of 155GWh as well as a development portfolio.

B Capital said the medium to long-term goal is to further strengthen BoS’ market position in Norway and to grow its hydropower portfolio to 500GWh.
