The global asset management arm of insurer Aviva has added a 7,600sqm office building in the Netherlands to its portfolio.
Aviva Investors said it has bought the Zuiderhof II building located in Amsterdam’s central business district, expanding its portfolio in the city.
The building provides office space spread over eight floors and an on-site restaurant facility.
The deal is the third major acquisition by Aviva Investors in Amsterdam’s financial district Zuidas this year. The previous purchases include the FOZ building in the middle of the district in March and The Vondel Portfolio in April.
George Fraser-Harding, the head of European real estate funds at Aviva Investors, said: “We are pleased to complete this deal, continuing the proactive growth our European real estate portfolio in 2022, and to have increased our presence in the South Axis, one of Europe’s most dynamic and exciting office markets.
“Not only does Zuiderhof II meet our requirements for high-quality assets we believe can provide good long-term income streams, its enviable sustainability credentials position it well within our ambitious climate-transition strategy.”
