AviaRent Invest has added three hospital properties in Germany to its European Social Infrastructure I (ESI I) fund.

The manager has paid an undisclosed sum to buy the Oberberg Fachklinik Scheidegg asset in Allgäu and the Panorama Fachklinik asset in Scheidegg, as well as the Jägerwinkel private clinic on Tegernsee in Bad Wiessee for the open-ended fund.

The Oberberg Fachklinik Scheidegg asset has 55 single rooms, the Panorama Fachklinik has 108 single rooms and the Jägerwinkel Private clinic consists of four buildings with a total of 73 single rooms.

All three medical facilities specialise in psychiatric, psychosomatic and psychotherapeutic treatments, AviaRent said.

Sascia Valkier, head of transaction management at AviaRent Invest, said: “After a comprehensive review, we decided to add the three specialist hospital properties to the fund.

”We were convinced by the track record of the Oberberg Group, which will ensure a sustainable occupancy rate of the three clinics. In addition, we consider the location of the clinics and their modern equipment to be very attractive. The properties meet both our and the investors’ demanding criteria.”

The ESI I fund’s recent deal was a €185m investment to buy a portfolio of twelve nursing homes and assisted living properties in Germany.
