Artemis Real Estate Partners is seeking to raise $1bn (€933.8m) for its latest US real estate fund, according to people familiar with the matter.
Artemis Real Estate Partners Income and Growth Fund II is expected to raise more capital than the first fund in the series, which closed at over $800m in January 2022.
The Cook County Ill Pension Fund disclosed in a meeting document that it made a $50m commitment to Fund II.
Fund II will prioritise investments in transactions with non-core components and will mainly partner with emerging managers with experience in diverse US markets.
The fund seeks to target a diversified portfolio by investing across industrial and residential properties, while also considering niche asset classes, such as self-storage.
