Asset manager Arrow Global has launched a Dutch real estate asset management platform to acquire “well-located assets” in need of repositioning.

The platform, known as Mica Real Estate will be led by co-founders Mark Debets, formerly with Hudson/Lone Star, and Timo van den Noort, previously of the Fortress Investment Group.

Mica Real Estate will operate as an asset and investment management platform for various investment strategies within the Dutch real estate market for Arrow’s funds, and other third-party capital, the manager said, adding that the new platform’s portfolio will include sustainable offices, life sciences, retail, residential and hospitality.

Arrow Global is an alternative asset manager specialising in European private credit and real estate. Mica Real Estate expands Arrow Global’s opportunistic real estate strategy, which targets complex and financially distressed situations in major European cities, the manager said.

It also complements its diverse investment activities spanning opportunistic credit and direct lending.

Zach Lewy, founder, CEO and CIO at Arrow Global, said: “With the expertise of Mark and Timo, who have an extensive network in the sector, the potential to selectively acquire assets ready for repositioning is significant.

“We look forward to leveraging their investment experience and local insights to provide investors with access to a broader array of attractive investment opportunities from a best-in-class team.”

In a joint statement, Debets, and van den Noort, said: “Joining Arrow not only provides us with access to investor capital, but also allows us to leverage their expertise across various European markets. Our flexibility to partner with Arrow and other investors positions us advantageously in a growing investment landscape.”
