Arrow Capital Partners has added two logistics assets in the Netherlands to its European industrial and urban logistics real estate platform.

The manager said it has invested €20m to acquire the assets in Hoensbroek and Almere on behalf of its €3bn Strategic Industrial Real Estate (SIRE) joint venture with Cerberus.

The Hoensbroek asset, a 14,445sqm last-mile logistics development, is Arrow’s first development project in the Netherlands. The pre-let DC De Koumen asset will be developed by Merle Vastgoed and is expected to be completed in the second quarter of next year.

The second asset located at Damsluisweg 6 in Almere consists of a fully-let 10,092sqm logistics asset.

Martien van Deursen, the head of Benelux at Arrow Capital Partners, said: “These acquisitions reflect the increasing demand in and around the Netherlands’ large metropolitan areas for strong last-mile logistics space. This demand is behind our move to incorporate more developments like DC De Koumen in the SIRE portfolio pipeline.

“In addition to land suitable for development, we continue to search for assets like Damsluisweg 6, which have strong locations and the potential to add value to existing logistics space in the future.”
