Ares Management Real Estate Secondaries funds have bought into a portfolio of 28 industrial and logistics assets in Sweden and Finland managed by Slättö.

Nordic private equity real estate investor Slättö said the Ares funds have agreed to support the recapitalisation of the assets located mainly in the Stockholm and Helsinki metropolitan areas.

Financial details were undisclosed.

Slättö will continue to manage the light industrial and logistics portfolio and execute the business plan, which includes active asset management, completing construction projects and increasing value in cash-flow assets for example through lease re-gears and energy saving measures.

Jonas Andersson, deputy managing partner at Slättö, said: “This deal is another testament to Slättö’s ability to attract the most sophisticated capital to our funds and conviction segments, using our unique capabilities to build real estate platforms based on local market knowledge and access to off-market deal flow.

“We look forward to a long and fruitful cooperation with Ares, as both Firms have the near-term intention to further strengthen this strategic relationship in our next phase of growth via other investment opportunities.”
