AEW has bought a 4,500sqm asset in Paris on behalf of its specialist pan-European logistics strategy Logistis.

The real estate investment and asset manager has invested an undisclosed sum for the asset situated in the heart of Paris’ 12th district occupied by online food retailer La Belle Vie.

Ludovic Bernini, fund manager of Logistis, said: “We continue to see no let-up in demand for best-in-class urban logistics space driven by continued changes to consumer behaviour.

“These structural drivers support our decision to both acquire this extremely well-located distribution centre and to continue seeking investment opportunities in operating assets as well as bringing forward the development of state-of-the-art logistics schemes across Europe with our partners, building on our 20-year track record of delivery for the Logistis fund.”

Since the platform’s launch in 1999, Logistis has built up a portfolio of 3.4m sqm comprising 120 logistics assets spread over 51 sites in Europe.
