Real estate fund manager AEW has acquired a mixed-use high street asset in Germany’s capital.
The manager has invested an undisclosed amount to acquire Schlossstraße 95, a fully-let six-storey retail and office asset in Berlin.
Antoine Barbier, head of AEW Patrimoine, said: “Germany is one of AEW’s core investment markets in Europe and, according to our research, Berlin high street retail is ranked highly and classified as attractive on a pan-European assessment of relative value.
“We’re delighted to have been able to secure this new acquisition mixing retail and office in one of the most attractive areas of Berlin, allowing us to provide our investors with an even larger portfolio of selected German assets for their long-term real estate investments.”
