The Netherlands’ civil service scheme ABP has acquired a 25% stake in the Windpark Krammer on-shore wind farm for an undisclosed sum.
The €493bn Dutch civil service scheme bought the stake in the asset located in the province of Zeeland through renewable energy firm Kallista.
Kallista, which is majority-owned by ABP, acquired a 40% stake in the wind farm from German developer Enercon. AXA IM Alts has a minority interest in Kallista.
The 34-wind turbine Krammer was delivered in 2019 and is majority-owned by two citizen cooperations, Deltawind and Zeeuwind.
The investment in Krammer is the second wind farm investment in the Netherlands for Kallista.
ABP, which currently holds a €10bn renewable energy portfolio, plans to increase its investments in renewable and affordable energy to €15bn by 2025. APG is the asset manager for ABP.
